About Us
Manitoulin Local Education Group (LEG) members are physician clinical faculty of the Northern Ontario School of Medicine University (NOSM U) who practice and teach on Manitoulin Island. We offer unique and innovative medical education to visiting learners at both undergraduate and post-graduate levels, and are also actively involved in continuing medical education, as well as research and scholarship.

Our Work
We are committed to offering dynamic and locally delivered medical education, aiming to engage learners in this one-of-a-kind rural rotation. Students visiting beautiful Manitoulin Island join our preceptors in clinics, Indigenous outreach centres, nursing homes, and hospitals, while also having opportunities to participate in educational events, and research endeavours.
